I have to give a shout out!!
It's a birthday!

You will never guess who!?!

That's right - it's the Army's Birthday! Who knew!!
Kathy from Kat Kollects and I both have sons at Ft. Benning, Georgia going through basic training. She and her family live in a different state, but our sons left for basic training on the same day, have our family weekend at the same time and our sons will graduate from basic training on August 13-14th - that's in 8 wks. and 4 days, for those of us that our counting!
She has been an absolute God send to me!
To have someone who knows exactly what you are going through - means the world!
Twyla from Two Crazy Crafters brought us together! Twyla, I will be forever grateful!
Go Army!
Hugs,
Cindy

  2. I can't tell you how happy I am to have brought the two of you together. I do believe God works in mysterious ways and it's no accident that God brought Kathy and you into my life. I knew that the two of you share concerns that the rest of us might not be able to fully understand, so you needed each other. Cindy, when I met you on your blog it was just one of those instant connections like I get every now and then. You were instantly my friend. Thank you for visiting me at my blog too and for your sweet comments. Good luck with the give away! Have a nice day! Twyla

  3. We (well, actually my husband, but since we were married, I can say we) were in the Army. Our first base was Ft. Gordon, GA. I'm late with birthday wishes, but Happy Birthday Army! So glad you have a friend to share with. Isn't it wonderful what this world of blogging does for us? laurie

  4. Ok, your post made me cry :*) What a sweet post, thank you so much. I was SOOOOOO happy to hear that you got to talk to your Son. I know that must have been so good for your heart. I have been rooting for you! Matthew called Sunday, oh my gosh he sounded so good. He sounds like he is growing up and he sounds happy. See, just typing this out made the tears go even more. I am so very proud of him, and I am proud of your Son too. I miss him so much, and I know you know exactly what I am feeling. I am so blessed to have "met" you, stay strong Army Mom : )
    Hugs,
    Kathy
